INTERIOR DESIGN ASSOCIATE

Betsy Bassett Interiors is looking for someone who is passionate about interior design, has a high attention to detail, cares about their work and really wants to be part of a collaborative, energetic, and growing team in Newton, MA. We take pride in creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional for our clients. Our ideal candidate needs a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited program, with a passion for high end residential interior design and has a good work ethic.

Duties will include:

-Collaborating with Principal and Design Team to develop concepts, AutoCAD floor plans/elevations and specifications for assigned projects.

-Manage all aspects of assigned projects including, but not limited to, client/vendor relationships, vendor/contractor relationships, design process, AutoCAD drawings, proposals, budget documents, etc. and work with team members of the assigned projects.

-Research and source materials, hardware, fabrics, furniture, treatments and accessories as determined by the requirements of each project.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-Proficient in AutoCAD (or other Autodesk products) is a must.

-Experience with Ivy or other project management software.

-Experience in interior architectural design; specifically kitchen, bath and cabinet design.

-Ability to source fabrics, wallpapers, furniture, etc. and a knowledge of Boston Design showrooms.

-Attend site visits and installations as needed.

-Experience working with GC's and other vendor partners to manage construction and installation process.

-Superior written and verbal communication skills.

-Possess a proactive, motivated and positive approach.

-High organizational skills.

-Must have a reliable vehicle.

-Must be COVID-19 vaccinated (will ask to see proof ).
